In this adoration treasury, written by two Sisters of St. Francis of Perpetual Adoration, a religious order dedicated to perpetual adoration of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, young Catholics will find a multitude of prayers, hymns, meditations, and ways to pray before the Eucharist, accompanied by beautiful illustrations.
The Eucharist is the source and summit of our Catholic Faith. Every time Mass is celebrated, the bread and wine on the altar are consecrated and truly become the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Jesus Christ.
Adoration grows out of the impulse of the heart to worship Christ’s true presence, and Catholics of all ages, including and especially young people, are encouraged to participate.

A Note to Parents and Teachers from the Authors
In this book, you will find prayers for adoration and prayers for Communion. We also hope to teach children how to pray in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament with different types of prayer and with Scripture. Also included are some structured holy “hours” meant for twenty- to thirty-minute visits. We’ve also included two litanies, which are wonderful for praying as a group.
Finally, we have included the Rite of Exposition and Benediction to help with organizing holy hours for a group. Sprinkled throughout the book are stories of some of our favorite saints who loved the Eucharist.
Our greatest prayer is that you and your children would simply fall in love with LOVE himself! Venite adoremus! We offer you these prayers as you begin your time in adoration as a family or class.
About the Authors
The mission statement of the Sisters of St. Francis of Perpetual Adoration is to participate in the mission of the Roman Catholic Church by living the Gospel after the example of Saint Francis and our foundress, Mother Maria Theresia Bonzel. We strive to combine the contemplative life with the active through perpetual adoration and the works of mercy in education, healthcare, and other ecclesial ministries.
The Sisters of St. Francis of Perpetual Adoration continue to serve in education, health care, and other ecclesial ministries in Germany, the United States, and the Philippines. In doing so, we follow in the footsteps of Jesus who spent His public life praying, teaching, healing, and ministering to others. The Provincial House of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Province is located in Mishawaka, Indiana. From there we serve in the Archdioceses of Chicago and Indianapolis, and the Dioceses of Fort Wayne-South Bend, Lafayette-in-Indiana, and Gary.
